The TomTom clips are difficult to say the least. Don't prise the screen as it can crack! Just prise the clips - though some may break. Careful of the PCB and the connectors. If in doubt, get a technician to do it.

After receiving it, immediately set to work with the YouTube video as guidance.
Opening the TomTom and further disassembly using the tools provided was a breeze.
After removing the old battery, inserted the new one.
I do want to comment on the piece of double-sided tape provided.
Namely, that this was some residue which made loosening it rather laborious.
The hardest part was reconnecting the plug on the flat cable of the display to the "motherboard".
When that was successful first tested for a while and when everything appeared to be working the housing clicked shut.
I recommend this product for handymen who do not shy away from this kind of repair.

The installation of the battery in my TomTom 6000 was easy to do.
But my problem was that I found it difficult to open the housing at all!
On the internet on YouTube it looked quite easy!
But the clips that hold the two halves of the case together were not easy to get apart!
I also did a test with a route without power supply.

Was for Go Premium. The device only needs to be opened and the battery is already exposed. Fits perfectly, the device runs smoothly again. However, opening it is not that easy, you have to be particularly careful not to simply pull the two halves apart, they are connected by a cable and a conductor foil!

The tools and the battery match exactly the descriptions (and even pictures :)) .
After replacement of the battery, I just connect again the Tomtom to an USB port of my PC and let it charge few hours before upgrading software.
Everything seems to works fine again.
